Expressive Gift Cards

An Expressive Gift Card sent in lieu of a present or flowers is a gift of lung health to community in the name of the person honored. You can use any of the methods of payment listed above to send a Memorial card, a Thank You card, a Get Well card or a card of Congratulations. All we will need is your contact information, the mailing information for the recipient, and in the case of a Memorial card, the name of the person being honored by the memorial donation.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Whether your gift to Breathe California is a Direct Donation, an Expressive Gift Donation or sponsorship of a participant in our Bike for Breath or Breath of Life Walk annual fundraisers your company may make your gift to us twice as valuable.

Vehicle Donations

To donate your motor vehicle to Breathe California, you can either download and print a Donor Vehicle Pickup Form which you can mail or fax to our office, fill out an Online Vehicle Donation Form, or call our office at 650-994-5868 to complete the form by phone.

You can donate anything on wheels: cars, trucks, boats, campers, trailers, etc. Your vehicle can be in perfect condition or not be running. Auction City, our vehicle donation specialist, will call you to determine if your vehicle meets their specifications for resale of salvaging and to schedule a pick-up.

With changes in the IRS tax law as of January 2005, your deduction is now based upon the actual selling price of your vehicle or a standard $500 deduction, whichever is greater. Please note that deductions only apply if you itemize your deductions.

Community Thrift

Whether you're spring cleaning, re-furnishing or cleaning out the attic, you can help Breathe California by taking saleable items to the Community Thrift Store, a non-profit thrift store that relies entirely upon donations to stock its shelves.

Mention either Breathe California or charity code 133 and proceeds from the sale of your items will go directly to benefit our organization. Please call them in advance at (415) 861-4910 for answers about acceptible donations.

Putting your Purchases to Work

eScrip is proven to be a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to Breathe California, Golden Gate Public Health Partnership. Our Group Number is 500014996.

It basically works like this: You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program and participating merchants make contributions to Breathe California, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered. Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on Breathe California's behalf!

Online Auctions

If you are an online auction fan and want to donate the proceeds from your sales to Breathe California, you can do it through Mission Fish. As a service of the Points of Light Foundation, Mission Fish has been helping organizations raise money through online auctions since 2000.

As the exclusive charity solution provider for eBay Giving Works, Mission Fish makes sure that every eBay Giving Works donation happens safely and reliably.

Planned Giving

Did you know that we have an Endowment? A portion of all bequests are set aside to ensure that your legacy gift to us will help support local programs for years to come. Please speak to your attorney or CPA about making a gift of life insurance, an appreciated asset, cash or a bequest in your will to Breathe California, Golden Gate Public Health Partnership.
