Saturday, July 10, 2010 Bike 4 Breath, Breathe California's 19th annual fundraising was a great success! Hundreds of participants rode and fundraised to promote lung health and clean air policy in the greater Bay Area.		Saturday, October 9, 2010 Breathe California will hold its 8th annual Breath of Life Walk to raise funds to combat lung disease. The walk will start and finish in the Music Concourse Bandshell in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.		Friday, April 15, 2011 Breathe California's Clean Air Awards, in its 21st year, honors businesses, organizations and individuals who are committed to improving air quality and reduce pollution in the region.

2010 Special Events

May 16, 2010 For the third year in a row, Breathe California was chosen as an OFFICIAL BENEFICIARY for the world famous ING Bay to Breakers 12K. Learn more about the Breathe California Pledge Runners and Volunteers that helped make the event a successful fundraiser.

Breathe California at your Community Event

Health Fairs and community events are ways for Breathe California to connect with the people we serve. Tabling at events in both private and public arenas gives us the opportunity to educate and inform the community about critical lung health issues. With the help of some interesting props and handouts, we share information on topics like Tobacco, COPD, Asthma and Air Quality while encouraging general lung health for all. We also take this time to showcase the programs we currently are offering and invite folks to support us in our mission by participating in one of our signature events.

Group presentations are another great way for us to spread the word about important lung health issues in today’s world. We are proud to offer free presentations or resources on a number of lung health topics. Presentations can be made to target any population from middle school aged students to seniors 65+. They can be used for education and prevention and/or to encourage health life style changes.
